Editing Day 6

On the sixth day, we began to add in the titles for our film. We wanted to make sure these looked professional and effective in where we put them. This meant it took us a while to decide where to put them in relation to the video and audio. We used the fade in effects and smear effect to add a horror vibe to the titles and to make sure they went smoothly into the film. Towards the end, we only had a few left to put in which meant we had to think carefully where we did and didn't want the titles. We thought about the size of the titles too as we made them slightly smaller to avoid them distracting from the video.

Editing Day 5

On the fifth day, we started to add in sound clips into Harriet's parts to increase the tension. We found the clips on YouTube and inserted them into where we wanted the specific sounds. This was difficult in some places as the clips were quite long and we only wanted a small part so finding the part we wanted took a while. We also needed to find the right sound effect which was tricky as we needed them to fit with our film and not sound out of place.

Editing Day 4

On the fourth day, we had filmed the final scene and so could add it into the film. This meant we could finish cutting the whole film together to make it look neat and flow well. We also added in our title at the end to see what it will look like when we were finished.

Editing Day 3

On the third day of editing, we decided that, as we had some speakers, we could start to edit the parts of the film with sound in it. This was mainly Alex's parts as we needed to be able to hear what they were saying before we could cut anything together to make sure we didn't cut over any speech.

Editing Day 2

On the second day, we started to edit together the first couple of clips to make it flow better than before. This included cutting the ends of clips together to achieve accurate match cutting and to make it look more professional than it did on the first day. We only managed to do a little bit of cutting together of the first couple of clips as we wanted to make it look as good as we could without rushing the editing.

Editing Day 1

On the first day of editing, we chose which clips we wanted to include and in which order we wanted to present them in. It took a while to get to grips with the software and with how we wanted to put the clips in. We also hadn't finished filming, which made it a bit more difficult to edit how we wanted the film to flow. We worked quite well in achieving how we wanted the film to open and the rough idea of what the opening two minutes will be about.

Filming Day 4

On the 12th January 2017, we filmed the final scene in our opening two minutes, of Harriet in the toilets. We were both able to film this time, meaning it was easier to achieve the exact shots we wanted to finish the film. We filmed shots we were unsure about but actually work well in our film. We had an idea of how we wanted to finish the film and how to increase the tension at the end and we feel we were able to achieve this with the shots, angles and makeup.

Filming Day 3

Our third filming day was on the 15th December 2016. I was, again, unable to be there to film with Libby, but she made sure to film lots so that we could decide on different things later in the process. Libby also had the agreed storyboard, meaning she could film the shots we agreed on. During this day she filmed the part with Alex where he calls Harriet but she doesn't answer. Libby made sure to include some other people in the scene to make it look sociable. The range of shots taken helped us to put together a scene that we are both happy with.
